Arsht Awards 2025: Meet the honorees

The recipients of the second annual Arsht Awards have made Miami's arts community bigger and brighter.

In 2024, the Adrienne Arsht Center introduced the Arsht Awards, which recognizes people and organizations who have made significant contributions to the Arsht and the cultural community within Miami-Dade County. The recipients are celebrated at the Center's annual gala, which this year takes place Saturday, March 8 at the Ziff Ballet Opera House. Boasting the theme "Neon Lights and '80s Nights," the 19th Anniversary Gala: Time After Time revisits the decade that gave us not only MTV, parachute pants and Miami Vice, but also the creation of what would become the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County.

Like the recipients of the inaugural Arsht Awards, this year's honorees have brightened Miami's artistic landscape. They are:

The Knight Foundation for the Arsht Angel Award, which recognizes an individual who has supported the Adrienne Arsht Center’s work through significant and sustained financial contributions.

Lilia Garcia for the Arsht Education Champion Award, which honors an individual who has made significant contributions to arts education in Miami-Dade County.

Rosie Gordon-Wallace for the Parker Thomson Legacy Award, given to a person who has significantly enriched the cultural landscape of Miami-Dade County and advanced the mission of the Arsht.
