"A showcase of flamenco, in all its flavors"– The Boston Globe
STARS OF FLAMENCO is a long-standing tradition of Flamenco Festival Miami, bringing together exceptional flamenco dancers and singers in an evening demonstrating the diversity and vibrancy of flamenco. This year, Manuel Liñan (2017 National Dance Prize) reappears as the Artistic Director of Stars of Flamenco.
This year's project will join together three of flamenco’s leading dancers. Mercedes Ruíz speaks about flamenco with a commanding truth and virtuosity (Financial Times). The bailaora from Jerez is one of the consolidated stars of the current time. Eduardo Guerrero is flamenco in its richest current incarnation. His marvelously eccentric solos (The New York Times) display a breathtaking array of movement that often pushes him to the perilous limits of human motion. As well as Eduardo, María Moreno was linked to Eva Yerbabuena Company for many years before starting their successful solo careers. Her astonishing dance pays tribute to the traditional style of Cádiz, to which she adds her own style full of expressivity, originality and passion. "A classic flamenco woman for the future."
The three dancers will be joined on stage by a cadre of musicians and a special guest artist: rising singer Maria Terremoto, the youngest ever artist to receive the Giraldillo award for new artist at the Seville Flamenco Biennial.

Manuel Liñán returns to Flamenco Festival Miami with an all-male dance company, in a new show that explores gender identity through characterizations inspired by the flamenco woman.
¡VIVA! is a song to the freedom of movement, where the feminine is embraced from the masculine body as its own; where gender roles, in a codified world like flamenco, are broken with joy and enjoyment – creating new terrains that, although unexplored, are not distant.
