Latin Grammy Award winner and Miami-based artist Néstor Torres embodies a rhythmic and mellifluous flute sound that remains in a class by itself. Torres is one of the leading players of his generation, and his playing incorporates a seamless blend of Latin jazz, pop, straight-ahead jazz and classical styles. He has been described as "an exotic mix of styles that takes the listener through American, Brazilian and Afro-Cuban jazz."
With his Caribbean heritage, classical training and a unique approach to jazz improvisation, Torres has collaborated with diverse artists such as Gloria Estefan, Kenny Loggins, Dave Matthews, Herbie Hancock, Tito Puente, Paquito D’ Rivera and Arturo Sandoval. He has performed with The Cleveland Orchestra and New World Symphony.
Join Néstor Torres and his ensemble for an evening of original compositions and unique arrangements of classics and standards under the stars.
