The Arsht Center’s fourth annual Heritage Fest returns! In line with the national Black History Month theme, Heritage Fest 2023: Black Resistance recognizes the strength and perseverance of the African diaspora and their resistance to historic and ongoing oppression.
This FREE community event was designed to spotlight, celebrate and amplify African Diaspora artists in our community. Honor Black Resistance with an afternoon of fun-filled activities for the entire family. Hosted by DJ Nickymix, the festival features a dance workshop, children’s book readings, vendor marketplace, community mural painting and performances by the Rev. Melvin Dawson & The Genesis Fellowship Delegation and Victoria Blue.
The festival will take place from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. rain or shine.
