In partnership with Miami Children’s Chorus, The Big Sing will feature community choirs raising their voices in song and engaging the audience to sing and dance along in this musical celebration. Miami Children’s Chorus will perform Latin American pop favorites, including tunes from Gloria Estefan and other Miami icons; while Encantus Voices, an adult choir, leads the audience in beloved traditional songs from various Latin American countries, including Colombia and Venezuela. Girl Power Rocks will crank up the volume with soul and R&B hits from Aretha Franklin and various others.
Everyone will sing along to iconic composer Rollo Dilworth's "Rise and Shine," inspired by the timeless melody of "This Little Light of Mine." The Big Sing will also include the premiere of a choral work written to the text of “The Hill We Climb” by inaugural poet Amanda Gorman. Commissioned by the Arsht Center and Miami Children’s Chorus, this exciting piece written by Rollo Dilworth and Maria. A. Ellis cannot be missed.
Admission to The Big Sing is free. However, first-access passes are required. Get your first-access passes now!
