  Dr. Deborah Brown

  Dr. Deborah Brown is a uniquely gifted and anointed jewel not only to the body of Christ but throughout the South Florida communities, State and as an International recording Artist, conference speaker, seminar teacher, workshop facilitator and psalmist and minstrel extraordinaire. She holds B.S. M.S. PhD degrees in music and religious Education and is the founder and executive director of the Florida based Zamar School of Performing Arts, since 1997 which have trained thousands of youth & adults in music, violin, band, piano, voice, drama, drums and dance. Zamar is noted by Sun Sentinel, Westside Gazette, Sun Times and Miami Herald as one of South Florida outstanding schools that have prepared students for music careers, church music, competitions and universities. She offers a music ministry consultant service, which provides training and support to churches with needs in development and coordination within their music ministries. Dr. Brown evangelistic ministry began over 15 years ago which later shut down a crack house and turned it into a vibrant Performing Arts School along with Higher Praise Ministries & Singers that met the needs of the whole man within the inner city communities. This ministry coordinated the premiere Easter Mega-Fest that attracted thousands of attendees, monthly Gospel in the Park, Food Distribution, and Clothing and Toy Drive.

  Dr Brown’s organization and Music Ministry Leadership skills is premiere and spans over two decades with the following ministries:

  • Hallandale COG organized Women of Praise Choir, String Ensemble, Assistant to the Pastor & Outstanding Director of Ministries Development & Worship
  • Mt. Olive Baptist Church developed and expanded the Youth & Young Adult Choir to 100 voices, showcased as outstanding youth group in the state and Baptist association under the leadership of Dr. Mack K Carter
  • Holy Redeemer COGIC - trained ten undeveloped singers that grew to fifty and became the premiere choir of Western Florida Jurisdiction Convention also featured in concert with Rev. Timothy Wright. The place that housed the 1st School of Music, under the leadership of spiritual father Bishop Harvey D. Bryan
  • Newbirth Cathedral established a Levitical Music Institute that produced a 200 Voice Mass Choir featured in concert under Bishop Victor T. Curry
  • Cathedral Church of God music department organization, music & spiritual growth to choirs. Implemented 1st Workshops, Easter Production & music gala. Expansion and development of the Youth Choir representing County & State as 1st Place winners and went to National Teen Talent San Antonio Texas.
  • Friendship Baptist Church- Presently Dr. Brown serves as Director of Worship & Fine Arts Dr. Gaston Smith, Pastor. A three-week assignment has turned into 2 yrs. of musical bliss which includes organization of a worship team, 14 week vocal training to 30 undeveloped singers that has grown into 75 premiere Voices of the Ship; Organized The Friendship Chorale, a community of singers and musicians who has sung on National stage with Kim Burrell and Adrienne Arsht Center performance with Miami Mass Choir; nominated Outstanding Church Choir and Choir Director of the year by Tampa Bay Gospel Music Awards 2017, presented a premiere Soulful Celebration Christmas production featuring the South Florida Fellowship Orchestra. Her passion for music education led her to organize the Friendship Church Music Institute.
  • GMWA Co-founder of the South Florida Mass Choir where Dr. Brown served as Chapter Representative and Co-Chair with Dr. Rodena Preston on the New Music & Selection Committee for GMW A recording projects under the leadership of Rev. James Cleveland.

  Dr. Brown’s Awards and recognition includes City of Hallandale Beach MLK Humanitarian Award, Proclamation Recipient of African Americans Who made significant contributions to the Arts, Who’s Who in Music, Outstanding Women of America and Miami Mass Vanguard Award.

  Dr. Brown employed by the School Board of Broward County, where she served as Band/Orchestra Director of Collins Elementary School and is the Founder/Director of the First Marching Band & Orchestra Program at McNicol & Gulfstream Middle School where they placed 1st Place in the State Music festival.

  Director of Hallandale Youth Orchestra & The Palms Center For the Arts as seen on CNN as the Outstanding Arts program in the City of Hallandale. Also awarded Model afterschool arts program in Urban communities in the State of Florida during the League of Cities Convention, Orlando, Fl and Outstanding performance in Washington D.C. at the Whitehouse, World War 11, and Lincoln Memorial.

  She presently serves as a licensed minister of the Church of God under the leadership of Bishop Quintin T. Wallace and Lady Elga Wallace of the Greater Hallandale Church of God where she serves as Praise & Worship Psalmist. She has served over 15 years as State and National Minister of Music for the Church of God and International Black Ministries, Cleveland, Tennessee where she was instrumental in developing a l00 voice State Choir and 300 Voice International Mass Choir in San Antonio, Texas.

  Dr. Brown has written many songs including Gospel hit "Get Excited; recorded by the Miami Mass Choir and released her 1st recording project in 2000 "Lift Jesus Higher" "Victory Shall be Mine, GMW A Utah "Lift Jesus Higher" Southeast Regional Mass Choir Church of God and author of two books entitled "The Anointing of the Minstrel & Psalmist and ''The Ministry of the Choir."

  Dr. Brown’s music expertise allowed her to serve as Vocal Coach for Television on Movie Star Robert De Niro in the movie CAPE FEAR, First African American female to lead worship and hymn at the Florida Baptist Convention. She served as host/founder for South Florida largest music Conference gathering under Southern Music Ministries with chapters in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Michigan, Chicago, Washington D.C., New York, Ohio, Bahamas, Jamacia featuring Milton Bigg ham, Donnie McClurkin, Byron Cage, Vickie Winans, Timothy Wright, Elder William Murphy and James Hall and many more; presently the name has changed to Gathering of Worshipers; she has been an invited guest on the Word Network aired in Atlanta, Ga. And Now Dr. Brown!

  Minister Meachum L. Clarke

  As one of the nation's most creative minds, Meachum L. Clarke has molded over 30 years of experience, creative excellence and innovative aptitude into becoming a mainstay and icon within the hearts, minds and lives of generations past, present and to come!

  In demand as a trendsetting author, producer, musician, teacher, vocal coach and creative coach, Clarke continues to empower his peers and everyone who comes in contact with him to charge intentionally in the direction of their greatness. Born in Lakeland, Clarke began cultivating and developing his love for music at the age of 5.

  Known for his superb creativity, charismatic performances that’ll move you to tears and his unique teaching approach, Clarke has accompanied, collaborated with and/or performed before many remarkable gospel musical artists, including James Hall, Karen Clark-Sheard, Dorothy Norwood, Sheri Jones- Moffit, S. Lamar Simmons, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Jonathan Nelson, Shea Norman, Beverly Crawford, Marvin Sapp, Daryl Coley, VaShawn Mitchell, Donnie McClurkin, Stephen Hurd, Tasha Cobbs-Leonard, Dr. Judith Christie-McAlister, Kim Burrell and Jason Nelson. He was privileged to perform before first lady Michelle Obama. Meachum isn’t just your average creative genius. He studied music education at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and is now majoring in music production at Full Sail University.

  He is no stranger various genres and stages, having worked as music director for Broadway musicals such as Memphis, The Color Purple, Once on This Island, Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill and Ruthless. Clarke has also vocal produced for R&B superstar Fantasia Barrino and has done extensive work and master classes at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, Edward Waters University and Hampton University.

  Having served as Pastor of Worship & Creative Arts at The Bethel Church, overseeing more than 400 singers, musicians, audio technicians, videographers, graphic designers, poets, spoken word artists, dancers, choreographers, content creators, editors and photographers for nearly 12 years, Clarke serves as CEO of Meachum L. Clarke Inc. He is the founder of Meachum L. Clarke & COMPANY, whose new album, The Introduction: Live in Orlando – Vol 1, debuted at No. 5 on iTunes and was released by MNRK [formerly EOne]. In January 2022, he released his first book, Got Talent? Having also served as executive director of Worship & Arts at Mt. Ennon Church in Clinton, Maryland, overseeing nearly 400 creatives weekly, Clarke continues to produce stellar events throughout the nation.

She is the founder and director of community-based gospel choir Revolution. Together, they happily and skillfully make a joyful noise unto God.

  Professor Stephen English

  Founder and CEO of the Music and Arts Fellowship of Miami

  Professor English was born and raised in North Miami Beach. His parents, the late Deacon James and the late Mother Doris English, raised him in a Christian environment. Professor English started playing piano at a young age, and it wasn’t long before music became his passion. Throughout his primary and secondary academic years, Professor English participated in various school-based productions, concerts and the like, often serving as a featured performer. After his high school graduation, Professor English earned a music scholarship to the famed HBCU Mary McLeod Bethune College, now Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach. There, he honed his skills in music as a member of the world-renowned Bethune Cookman Choral and Gospel Choir. As part of these entities, he was blessed to perform throughout the United States and abroad under the direction of the late great Dr. Rebecca Walker Steele, legendary professor of music at the university. After spending several years as part of these dynamic groups, Professor English’s college time was cut short due to his father’s being ill. The professor returned to Miami to assist with caregiving for his father, which he did until his father’s death. With a thirst for education and a continued love for music, he took his talents to Florida Memorial College, now Florida Memorial University. He completed his degree there, performed, taught and served as director of the Florida Memorial College Choral and Gospel Choir. Professor English began his career with national recording artists Marc Cooper & Friends. Later, he served as a member and charismatic director of Stellar Award-winning national recording artists Miami Mass Choir. He started the Music and Arts Fellowship of Miami to showcase the talents and gifts of the Christian community. Professor English has worked with churches, choirs and universities throughout Florida. He also held the title of state music director/president for the Eastern Florida Jurisdiction of Church of God in Christ Inc., under the leadership of the late Bishop Jacob Cohen. He had the distinction of performing for former President Bill Clinton and many other national, state and local government officials and politicians.

  Professor English enjoys teaching music, cooking and fellowshipping with family and friends. His goal is to ensure that every one of God's children is loved and appreciated. His motto, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” is a reigning theme and principle he lives by.
