The Reverend Peyton has earned a reputation as a singularly compelling performer. He is a persuasive evangelist for the rootsy, country-blues styles that captured his imagination early in life and inspired him and his band to make pilgrimages to Clarksdale, Mississippi to study under such blues masters as T-Model Ford, Robert Belfour and David "Honeyboy" Edwards. The latest album from Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band, Dance Songs for Hard Times, reached No. 1 on the Billboard, iTunes and Sirius XM blues charts, and was produced by Grammy Award winner Vance Powell (Jack White, Chris Stapleton). The album was acclaimed by Rolling Stone, Relix, Guitar World, American Songwriter and other magazines.
Live on the Plaza is a series of outdoor concerts on our Parker and Vann Thomson Plaza for the Arts.
