With a reputation for spectacular live performances, the multiplatinum alternative rock band The Verve Pipe are recognized worldwide for their radio hits “Photograph,” “Hero,” “Happiness Is,” “Never Let You Down” and the No. 1 smash single “The Freshmen.”
In addition to their success on radio, sold-out concerts in North America, Europe and Australia, features in Rolling Stone, Interview Magazine and many other publications, and videos on MTV and VH1, the band have made numerous television appearances, including on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno and Late Night With David Letterman.
After an extended break from recording, The Verve Pipe in 2014 released their first rock album in over 13 years with Overboard, a collection of 10 new songs, including the haunting title track. This long-incubating project brought renewed energy and focus to the band as they followed it in 2017 with Parachute and their first-ever live album, Villains – Live & Acoustic, featuring an acoustic reimagining of their platinum debut album, Villains. Their latest, 2021’s critically acclaimed Threads, maintains their commitment to forward-thinking rock ’n’ roll, as the band continue to reinvent themselves with each new release.
The Verve Pipe continue to tour, performing shows throughout the U.S., including special appearances at Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits Festival, Lincoln Center, Hangout Music Festival and SummerStage in Central Park.
Live on the Plaza is a series of outdoor concerts on our Parker and Vann Thomson Plaza for the Arts.
