BRITTEN War Requiem

For one star-studded night, three of the world’s most celebrated singers — Christine Goerke, Ian Bostridge and Roderick Williams — join New World Symphony for Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem. Blending Latin text with WWI poetry by soldier Wilfred Owen, this magnum opus for orchestra, soloists and multiple choruses is a moving call for peace led by NWS artistic director Stéphane Denève. NPR says, “If you’re searching for a piece imbued with timeless meaning, one that carries particular poignancy during our own war-torn era, look no further.”
