ARTURO SANDOVAL: A MASTER OF AFRO-CUBAN JAZZ

Cuban-born trumpeter Arturo Sandoval returns to the Arsht Center stage for an evening of virtuosic, hard-swinging jazz. A founding member of groundbreaking Latin jazz act Irakere, which recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, Sandoval’s Dizzy Gillespie-inspired playing has earned him numerous awards and accolades, including being named as a 2024 Kennedy Center Honoree. In 2000, For Love or Country: The Arturo Sandoval Story, a biopic starring Andy Garcia and Gloria Estefan, debuted on HBO. Dafnis Prieto Sí o Sí Quartet will open the show.

If you can’t make one of the concerts, notify the box office at least 48 hours before the show and you may exchange your tickets for a tax-deductible donation to the Center.

***The Arsht Center shall provide you with notice, sent to your registered email address, of automatic renewal to the 2025-26 Jazz Roots Music season at least 30 days prior to the renewal date. The notice shall include information regarding the upcoming renewal including season programming, the renewal fee and instructions on how to cancel the subscription.
